Job Description City School District of New Rochelle Embracing Diversity:
Driving Success The City School District of New Rochelle is seeking a dual certified secondary, 7-12 Students with Disabilities/Science teacher probationary position for the 2026-2027 School Year. Appropriate 7-12 NYS certification in BOTH Students with Disabilities AND Science are required.
Responsibilities Include:
Plan and implement lessons, deliver high quality instruction based on Science next generation standards, grade student work, maintain a record of grades, correspond with parents, and effectively communicate with students Utilize curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students served. Collaborate and plan with peers. Prepare for and participate in student CSE meetings to facilitate student progress and aid in the identification of plans to address student support needs. Attend and participate in Special Education and subject specific Department meetings and complete required Professional Development. Ensure awareness of and compliance with student IEPs Access and competently utilize the IEP program to progress monitor for student goals and for IEP completion. Utilize curriculum resources and differentiate instruction to meet learner support needs Job Qualifications NYS Certification is required at time of application
