Manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a positive atmosphere conducive to active participation and inquiry. Assess student progress through standardized testing, project evaluations, and formative assessments; provide constructive feedback and academic advising. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and integrating educational technology for IT-enhanced lessons. Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and compliance with educational regulations. Mentor students in scientific research projects and support their participation in science fairs or competitions. Engage in ongoing professional development related to science education, classroom management, and instructional best practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Science Education or a related field; advanced degrees preferred. Proven experience teaching high school science with a strong understanding of biology, physical and advanced sciences and mathematics (including algebra, geometry), and related scientific disciplines Demonstrated expertise in laboratory techniques including dissection procedures and microbiological experiments. Proficiency with educational technology tools for lesson planning and delivering IT-integrated lessons. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to adapt instruction for diverse student needs and learning styles. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, students from diverse backgrounds, parents, and administration. Knowledge of educational compliance standards and experience implementing curriculum aligned with state or national regulations. Experience working with students from varied cultural backgrounds; familiarity with special education or Montessori methods is a plus. Prior experience in private school settings or working within research laboratories adds value.
