Yesterday Job Description Champion Local School District is seeking applications from qualified and dedicated educators for an opening as a high school science teacher beginning August, 2026. The ideal candidate will be capable of teaching a range of high school science courses including Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics, and will foster a dynamic and engaging learning environment for all students.

POSITION

High School Science Teacher with ability to teach Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

QUALIFICATIONS

Valid Ohio teaching license in 7-12 Science (Integrated Science or specific content areas). Ability to teach multiple science disciplines. Strong content knowledge and instructional practices in science education. Effective classroom management and communication skills. Commitment to student achievement and continuous professional growth.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver high-quality instruction in assigned science courses. Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to Ohio Learning Standards. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to engage students in scientific inquiry. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback. Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and student performance. Integrate technology and laboratory experiences into instruction. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. Collaborate with staff on curriculum development and school initiatives. Perform additional duties as assigned by administration.
