Job Description

Instructor of Biology The Department of Biological Sciences at Northeastern State University is accepting applications for a full-time, 9-month Instructor and laboratory manager. The successful candidate will contribute to the biology curriculum and oversee laboratory operations. Duties will include teaching introductory courses and/or labs relevant to the candidate's area of expertise (approximately 6 credit hours per semester), preparing solutions and materials for laboratory courses, training and supervising student workers, coordinating repair and maintenance of instruments, and ordering and receiving supplies and equipment. This position is expected to be available during the academic year and one month during the summer, with additional pay(specific summer duties and schedule to be coordinated with the department chair). A master's degree in biology or related discipline is required. The department is seeking a dedicated person with a passion for biology education who can excel at teaching introductory biology courses.
