Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Science Teacher who loves the Lord and is a proclaimed, born-again Christian to inspire and educate students in the fascinating worlds of biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science. This role offers an exciting opportunity to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific literacy among young learners. The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity, and a commitment to student success, creating engaging lessons that align with curriculum standards and incorporate innovative learning technologies. As a vital member of our educational community, you will contribute to shaping the next generation of thinkers, problem-solvers, and scientists. Responsibilities Develop and implement dynamic lesson plans that adhere to curriculum standards across various science disciplines Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to organize coursework, assessments, and student progress tracking Incorporate diverse instructional strategies including hands-on experiments, multimedia resources, and digital tools to enhance learning experiences Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students Manage classroom environments effectively through proactive behavior management and classroom management techniques Provide academic advising and mentorship to support students' educational growth and career aspirations in science fields Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, interdisciplinary projects, and school initiatives focused on STEM education Engage with parents and guardians through clear communication about student progress and classroom activities Incorporate literacy education skills into science instruction to strengthen reading comprehension and scientific writing among students Support early childhood education principles when working with younger students as part of broader educational programs Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education, Science Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred Valid teaching certification/license for high school science instruction in the relevant jurisdiction Proven classroom experience with high school students in a formal educational setting Strong knowledge of science curricula across biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science Experience with instructional design, lesson planning, and integrating learning technology tools such as LMS platforms Familiarity with working with individuals with learning differences Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering an inclusive environment Commitment to ongoing professional development in teaching methods, curriculum updates, and technological advancements Join us in making a meaningful impact by nurturing curiosity and empowering students to explore the wonders of science.
