184-Chemistry Position Summary The Department of Chemistry at Villanova University invites applications for an adjunct instructor to teach lecture and/or laboratory courses as needed. Villanova is a Catholic university sponsored by the Augustinian Order. Duties and Responsibilities A clear understanding of course goals and acceptable procedures. Methods of teaching must be compatible with the overall focus of the course and/or laboratory. Preparation and grading of quizzes, exams, and lab reports. In addition to typical classroom responsibilities, teaching proper laboratory techniques and safety is expected for lab courses. Good communication skills between faculty and students. Minimum Qualifications A Ph.D. in Chemistry and/or relevant experience is required. Salary Posting Information This adjunct position falls within the salary range of $1,160.00 - $2,230.00 per credit/contact hour. The final compensation will be determined with consideration of several factors including the selected candidate's educational qualifications, course type (drill, lab, lecture), course level (undergraduate or graduate), and market benchmarks.
