Key Qualifications:
Active and current South Carolina state teaching license Credentialed in Middle Level Science or Science (required—no exceptions) Experience teaching general education science at the middle school level preferred Strong classroom management skills, along with creativity in lesson planning Passion for encouraging inquiry and a love of science in adolescents
Primary Responsibilities:
Teach general education science classes to middle school students Monday through Friday Develop and implement engaging, standards-based lesson plans Assess student progress and communicate regularly with parents and other staff Adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment This contract position offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule (7:15am to 2:45pm; 37.5 hours weekly), providing a satisfying work-life balance while serving a vibrant school community.
