Summer STEAM Camp Director Eagles' Nest Cathedral International Huntsville, AL Job Details Temporary | Full-time $18 - $21 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification First aid Working with children First Aid Certification Classroom experience Full Job Description About the Role Eagles' Nest Cathedral International is gearing up for ENCI Ascend, a 9-week Summer STEAM Enrichment Camp for grades K-8. We're looking for a hands-on Camp Director who will plan and lead daily activities in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math — while building a fun, faith-centered environment where every child feels seen and supported. What You'll Do Plan and lead daily STEAM activities including science experiments, coding basics, art projects, and hands-on building challenges Create a welcoming, structured environment using positive behavior strategies Work alongside camp staff to manage the daily schedule, meals, and transitions Communicate regularly with parents about their child's experience and progress Manage and report daily numbers for the Summer Feeding Program Maintain attendance records, incident reports, and basic program documentation Follow all safety protocols including emergency procedures and first aid response Begin in May for curriculum planning, material prep, and training What We're Looking For Experience working with children ages 5-11 in a camp, classroom, childcare, or ministry setting Comfort leading hands-on STEAM activities (you don't need an engineering degree — enthusiasm and creativity matter most) Strong classroom management skills with a positive, patient approach CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before camp starts) Background check required A heart for faith-based youth development is a plus Schedule & Compensation $18-$22/hr depending on experience 45 hours/week during camp (Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
