Our most popular programs are:
Chess Masters (Chess) STEMbots (Robotics) Comic Creators (Writing/Drawing) Cube Club (Rubik's Cubes) If you want to make a difference in the lives of children, and are passionate about teaching, then we would love to have you as part of our team. The hours are flexible, there is paid mileage, sick pay, promotion opportunities, and professional development workshops. Many employees are enrolled in school or work another part-time job.
Details:
This is a part time position that offers 7-12 hours per week. Employees work with groups of 20-30 students. Employees must pass a criminal background check and test negative for tuberculosis. Employees must commute to schools where programs are held.
Experience:
Experience working with K-6th grade students is HIGHLY preferred. Experience leading games, crafts, or other organized activities with children HIGHLY preferred. Experience with content areas is NOT necessary but preferred. All instructors are trained on program content/curriculum. ALL staff is expected to know/learn how to play Chess & solve a Rubik's Cube! (It's easy, we can teach you!)
Responsibilities:
Supervise and engage with K-8 students during after-school activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Implement classroom management techniques to foster positive behavior and participation. Teach lessons related to activity - Chess, Rubik's cube, creative writing, etc.
Qualifications:
You can work 2-hours between 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at least three times a week (M-F). You are high-energy, outgoing, reliable, and enthusiastic. You are 18 years of age or older. You have your own reliable transportation (Car).
Compensation/Benefits:
Minimum Wage during training. Starting pay $27.00/hour (approximately $40 per class ). Gas reimbursement included.
