In this role, you will inspire students of all ages and skill levels to achieve their personal best through engaging training sessions, disciplined practice, and positive mentorship. Your leadership will foster a safe, motivating environment where students can develop their martial arts skills, confidence, and discipline while having fun. Duties Lead high-energy Taekwondo classes for diverse age groups, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed. Develop customized training plans that challenge students while supporting their individual progress and goals. Mentor students in discipline, respect, and perseverance, fostering a positive and inclusive class environment. Oversee belt testing preparations and assessments to help students achieve new ranks confidently. Maintain safety standards by supervising equipment use, enforcing behavior management strategies, and responding effectively to emergencies. Collaborate with other sports coaches (such as soccer or basketball instructors) to integrate cross-training activities that enhance overall athleticism. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement. Requirements Proven experience in martial arts instruction with a focus on Taekwondo; additional sports coaching experience is a plus. Strong background in sports-specific training instruction, including team leadership and behavior management skills. Lifeguard experience or certification is desirable; must hold current First Aid and CPR certifications (including AED operation). Experience working with children and adolescents in educational or recreational settings; childcare experience is preferred. Knowledge of swimming, climbing, cheerleading, basketball, soccer coaching or similar sports enhances your versatility as an instructor. Excellent communication skills for effective client (student and parent) engagement and team collaboration. Ability to teach physical education concepts clearly while maintaining a safe environment for all participants.
