In this energetic role, you will lead engaging surfing lessons, ensuring safety, skill development, and fun in a dynamic aquatic environment. Your expertise will inspire confidence and foster a love for the ocean while promoting responsible surfing practices. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to share your love of water sports and outdoor adventure with eager learners. Duties Conduct comprehensive surfing lessons tailored to participants' ages, abilities, and confidence levels Ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed during lessons, including proper use of safety gear and awareness of ocean conditions Provide clear instruction on paddling techniques, wave selection, balance, and maneuvering skills Monitor students' progress, offering constructive feedback to enhance their skills and confidence Manage group behavior to maintain a positive, respectful learning environment Assist with equipment setup, maintenance, and organization before and after lessons Promote environmental awareness and responsible surfing etiquette among students Requirements Proven surfing experience with strong knowledge of wave dynamics and safety procedures Lifeguard certification or equivalent water safety training required; CPR and first aid certifications preferred Background in sports coaching, teaching, or martial arts such as Karate or Judo is highly desirable Experience working with children or in childcare settings is a plus Familiarity with physical education teaching methods and behavior management techniques Additional skills in swimming or other sports are advantageous Enthusiastic attitude with excellent communication skills and a passion for outdoor adventure and water sports Embark on an exhilarating journey where your skills make waves!
