In this energetic role, you will lead surf lessons, ensuring participants develop their skills while having fun while keeping everyone safe. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to share your surfing knowledge and make a positive impact on people lifes. Duties Lead surf lessons for individuals and groups, to skill levels from beginner to intermediate Ensure all participants adhere to safety protocols, including proper use of equipment and awareness of ocean conditions Demonstrate our prooving proper surfing techniques, including paddling, balance, wave selection, and maneuvering Conduct safety briefings and emergency procedures, Manage behavior and maintain a positive learning environment for children and adults Communicate effectively with clients about lesson progress, safety tips, and upcoming activities Assist with equipment maintenance, setup, and breakdown before and after lessons Experience Surfing experience 3 years Lifeguard experience or water safety certification preferred Strong swimming skills Isa Experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable Background in sports coaching such as Surfing, ski, snowboarding or others Proven team leadership skills with experience managing groups or teams in sports or fitness environments Knowledge of sports-specific training instruction and behavior management techniques Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, or other emergency response training will be highly valued We're looking for motivated individuals who are ready to inspire others while sharing their passion for the ocean.
