$25/hour + Tips Weekend Hours required Coyote Valley Sporting Clays is looking for a friendly, safety-focused Sporting Clays Instructor to join our team in Morgan Hill. This is a great position for someone who enjoys the shooting sports, working outdoors, and introducing new shooters to sporting clays. Our instructors work with everyone from first-time shooters and families to corporate groups and experienced guests looking to improve their skills. Responsibilities Provide safe, fun, and professional sporting clays instruction Teach firearm safety, proper shotgun handling, stance, mounting, and basic shooting techniques Coach beginner shooters Lead individuals, families, corporate groups, and private events Monitor shooters closely and enforce all range safety rules Help guests feel comfortable and confident, especially first-time shooters Assist with shotgun fitting, operation, and basic troubleshooting Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming experience Help maintain clean and organized shooting stations and equipment Assist with other range operations as needed What We're Looking For Strong commitment to firearm and range safety Experience with shotguns, sporting clays, skeet, trap, hunting, or other shooting sports preferred Comfortable teaching and communicating with beginners Friendly, patient, outgoing, and professional Able to confidently manage groups and provide clear instructions Reliable and punctual Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Available to work weekends and holidays as needed Previous professional instructor experience is preferred but not required for candidates with strong shotgun experience, excellent safety habits, and the right personality for teaching. Compensation Starting at $25/hour + tips Tips can provide significant additional earning potential, particularly when working with private groups, parties, corporate events, and introductory shooting experiences. Opportunities for additional hours and advancement may be available based on experience and performance.
