Job Description

Do you love Muay Thai—and love teaching it just as much? Guillobel Dojo is looking for an experienced, energetic, and dependable Muay Thai Instructor to join our team and help us continue building our Muay Thai program. We are not simply looking for someone who can hold pads or teach combinations. We are looking for a coach and leader . Someone who can walk into a room, connect with students, teach excellent Muay Thai, create a positive training environment, and make people excited to come back to class. Our instructor will work with kids, teenagers, and adults , so the ability to communicate and teach differently based on the student's age and experience is extremely important.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate: Has strong Muay Thai knowledge and legitimate training experience Has previous coaching or teaching experience Can confidently teach kids, teenagers, and adults Understands how to teach complete beginners as well as more experienced students Is skilled at pad holding, drilling, technique development, conditioning, and controlled sparring Makes safety a priority Is energetic, positive, professional, and dependable Communicates well and genuinely enjoys helping students improve Can create challenging classes while maintaining a friendly and welcoming atmosphere Understands that martial arts is about more than fighting—it is also about confidence, discipline, respect, fitness, and personal growth Works well as part of a team Is interested in helping us grow and develop our Muay Thai program long-term Fight experience is a plus, but being a great fighter does not automatically make someone a great instructor. For us, teaching ability, character, professionalism, reliability, and the ability to connect with students are just as important as technical knowledge.
TEACHING KIDS
Our kids' programs are an important part of our Dojo. We are looking for someone who understands that teaching children requires more than simply giving them an easier version of an adult Muay Thai class. A great kids' instructor needs patience, enthusiasm, structure, and the ability to make learning fun while maintaining discipline and control. You should be comfortable helping children develop: Confidence Discipline Focus Coordination Fitness Respect Proper Muay Thai fundamentals And you should enjoy working with kids.
TEACHING TEENAGERS
Teenagers need a coach they respect. You should be able to challenge them physically, help them develop legitimate Muay Thai skills, and create a training environment where they feel part of a team. We want our teenage students learning how to become better martial artists—and better young adults.
TEACHING ADULTS
Our adult students range from complete beginners who have never thrown a punch to experienced martial artists who want serious technical training. You should be able to make beginners feel comfortable while still providing enough depth and challenge for advanced students. Classes should be technical, energetic, safe, challenging, and fun. We are looking for someone who would like to become an important part of Guillobel Dojo. For the right person, there is an opportunity to help us: Grow our adult Muay Thai program Expand our kids and teen programs Develop advanced students Offer private lessons Create special workshops and events Develop competitors for those interested in competition Help shape the future of Muay Thai at our academy We want someone who takes pride in saying: "This is my program, and I want to make it great."

REQUIREMENTS
Strong background in Muay Thai Coaching/teaching experience preferred Excellent communication skills Reliable and punctual Professional appearance and attitude Comfortable working with children, teenagers, and adults Ability to teach students ranging from complete beginners to advanced practitioners Willingness to follow Guillobel Dojo's teaching standards, culture, and safety policies Must be willing to complete a background check CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
