Independent Contractor (1099) About D-BAT Orange County West D-BAT Orange County West is the premier baseball and softball training facility in Orange County, offering state-of-the-art batting cages, pitching machines, technology-driven training tools, and professional instruction for athletes of all ages. Our mission is to help players develop their skills, confidence, and love for the game in a supportive, family-friendly environment. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and passionate Softball Pitching or Hitting Instructor to join our team. This individual will provide private and group instruction to athletes ranging from beginners to advanced players. The ideal candidate has a strong background in competitive softball pitching, a proven ability to teach mechanics and strategy, and a passion for mentoring young athletes. MUST be available to work weekends - Saturday and Sunday. Key Responsibilities Provide private lessons and group clinics focused on pitching mechanics, accuracy, velocity, and game awareness. Create personalized training plans that meet the needs of individual athletes. Foster a positive, encouraging environment that emphasizes player development, character, and confidence. Utilize D-BAT's training equipment and technology to enhance instruction. Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and staff to ensure progress and satisfaction. Support D-BAT programs such as camps, clinics, and special events when scheduled. Represent D-BAT Orange County West professionally both inside and outside the facility. Qualifications Extensive experience in competitive softball pitching (collegiate or professional background preferred). Prior coaching or instructional experience with youth athletes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire, motivate, and connect with athletes of all skill levels. Commitment to teaching proper mechanics, safety, and sportsmanship. Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Compensation Competitive hourly rate paid on a bi-weekly basis (independent contractor role).
