Job Description
Our sister company, EarthKind Learning is growing and seeking experienced educators to join our enrichment team. We provide hands-on nature, science, engineering, creativity, and STEAM programming for children in a variety of educational and enrichment settings. We are looking for educators who are confident leading groups, managing behavior, adapting to different ages, and creating a positive, engaging learning environment. Responsibilities Lead hands-on enrichment classes and activities Work with small groups, large groups, and children of varying ages Follow provided curriculum and lesson plans Adapt activities to meet the developmental needs of each group Maintain positive classroom and behavior management Prepare, organize, and clean up class materials Maintain a safe and welcoming learning environment Communicate professionally with families, program partners, and EarthKind Learning staff Qualifications Previous experience working with children in education, enrichment, recreation, camps, after-school programs, or a similar setting Strong classroom and behavior management skills Comfortable independently leading groups of children Experience working with multiple age groups Dependable, organized, patient, and professional Comfortable facilitating hands-on activities Reliable transportation Successful completion of all legally permitted background screening requirements for work with minors is required Experience in STEAM, science, engineering, nature education, art, early childhood education, elementary education, or youth enrichment is preferred. Schedule This is a part-time contracted role averaging approximately 5 to 20 hours per week. Hours vary based on program assignments, enrollment, and seasonal scheduling. Flexible weekday and occasional weekend availability is helpful. Compensation $25 to $30 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and program assignment.
