Department Tennis Center Opening Date 05/26/2026 Closing Date 6/26/2026 5:00 PM Mountain Position Summary, Duties and Responsibilities Develop and grow the Apex tennis program by providing quality instruction and programs for youth and adults, of all ability levels. Organize and promote adult and junior programs, special events, drills, privates, opportunities to play, and racquet stringing service. Manage participants and associated adults, maintaining a safe environment and exhibiting control. Maintain movement, energy, and positive interactions with and between participants, on and off the court. Responsible for maintaining progression levels, and making participant adjustments as necessary, for program consistency and participant safety. Responsible for class communication and scheduling adjustments. Responsible for finding a qualified substitute, when unable to teach. Communicate with the Tennis Manager and Head Teaching Professionals regarding changes to published schedule or use of substitute instructor.
Other Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide individualized instruction for private, semi-privates, small group lessons, drills, and special events. Attend trainings and seminars for professional development and to incorporate new program ideas. Provide first aid and complete incident reports as necessary. Maintain and store tennis equipment. Job Qualifications Must be at least 15 years old. Be able to plan, organize, implement, and supervise tennis instruction and activities following
RPSA/PTR
protocols, to meet/exceed Apex teaching standards. Work Environment Work may take place in both indoor and outdoor environments, with exposure to varying weather conditions including sun, heat, cold, snow, and humidity. Physical Activity(s): Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
