Job Description

Position Summary, Duties and Responsibilities We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Learn to Skate Coach to join our skating school. The ideal candidate will teach skating skills to individuals of all ages and levels in accordance with the Learn to Skate USA curriculum. Coaches are expected to create a fun, safe, and positive learning environment that promotes skill development, confidence, and enjoyment on the ice. Instruct skaters of various ages (typically ages 3 through adult) and skill levels in group and/or private lesson formats Follow the Learn to Skate USA curriculum and teaching guidelines Monitor and evaluate skater progress; provide feedback and report progress to skaters or parents Assist with class setup, check-in, and cleanup (e.g., cones, signage, attendance sheets) Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all participants Communicate with parents, students, and staff in a professional manner Attend mandatory staff meetings, training sessions, and program events Promote further participation in skating programs, events, and competitions Job Qualifications Minimum hiring age: 16. Must be professional, punctual, and responsible Excellent communication and interpersonal skill Comfortable working with children and beginners Ability to work weekends and/or evenings depending on program schedule Education and Experience Previous figure skating experience required. Test level Pre-Bronze and higher preferred. Prior teaching or coaching experience preferred.
