Job Overview Join our vibrant Friday Day Camp team as a dedicated and energetic camp counselor! In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and fun environment for children of various ages while fostering their growth and development. Your enthusiasm and leadership will inspire young minds through exciting activities, outdoor adventures, and meaningful supervision. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while gaining valuable experience in youth development, education, and camp programming. Responsibilities Supervise children during all camp activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Facilitate a variety of engaging activities including outdoor games, arts and crafts, team-building exercises, and educational lessons Manage behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, including first aid procedures, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response plans Maintain a clean and organized activity area, ensuring all equipment is safe and properly stored Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding camper progress and any concerns that arise during camp hours Qualifications Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, summer camp, tutoring, or youth programs is highly preferred Strong classroom management skills coupled with the ability to lead outdoor activities confidently Certification in First Aid, CPR, AED operation, or willingness to obtain prior to employment Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices Experience facilitating youth group activities or sports coaching is a plus Join us in creating memorable experiences that foster growth, fun, and lifelong friendships!
