Job Description
Job Summary Join our vibrant summer camp team as a Summer Camp Instructor, where your enthusiasm and dedication will inspire children to explore, learn, and grow through engaging activities and meaningful interactions. In this dynamic role, you'll lead a group of children in a variety of fun and educational programs, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and positive environment. Your energy and creativity will help create unforgettable summer experiences that foster development, teamwork, and confidence. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact while developing your skills in education, childcare, and youth engagement. Duties Lead and supervise children during camp activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times Plan and implement age-appropriate games, arts and crafts, sports, theater performances, and educational lessons Manage behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies Maintain a safe environment by practicing proper classroom management and adhering to safety protocols including first aid procedures Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and well-being Assist with daily camp setup, cleanup, and organization of materials to ensure smooth operations Foster a fun, respectful atmosphere that encourages teamwork, creativity, and personal growth Experience Prior experience working with children in settings such as elementary school, aftercare, or camp environments is highly desirable Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques Certifications in first aid and CPR are preferred to ensure safety during all activities Strong classroom management skills combined with the ability to adapt to different age groups and individual needs Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude Join us this summer to create joyful memories for children while developing your leadership skills in a lively, supportive setting!
