Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Youth Mentor Instructor to inspire and guide young minds through engaging educational and recreational activities. Responsibilities Lead and facilitate youth programs, including educational lessons, recreational activities, arts and crafts, sports, theater performances, and group projects. Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive behavior management techniques to ensure a safe and respectful environment. Implement curriculum plans tailored to various age groups, incorporating early childhood education principles and childhood development best practices. Ensure the safety of all participants by following first aid protocols, CPR procedures, AED operation guidelines, and emergency response procedures. Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance by adapting activities and providing individualized attention when necessary. Maintain clear communication with parents, guardians, and team members regarding participant progress, behavior concerns, or safety issues. Assist with event setup, cleanup, and logistical coordination for camps, daycares, or youth outings. Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, camps, tutoring programs, or youth organizations. Knowledge of classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques suitable for young learners. Certification in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and first aid protocols is required; ongoing training preferred. Background in special education or experience supporting children with diverse needs is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to engage children through teaching experience in early childhood education or youth programs. Skills in childcare, babysitting, sports coaching, theater arts or working with students across various age groups. Strong communication skills coupled with patience, empathy, and a positive attitude to foster a nurturing environment. Additional experience such as camp experience, working with students in Christian counseling settings or tutoring is advantageous. Join us to empower youth through inspiring mentorship!
