Job Description

Looking for energetic instructors to facilitate campers on Engineering and Technology projects. The Summer Camp Instructor is responsible for leading, facilitating, and/or supervising daily lessons and activities that focus on coding, app development, Roblox, Minecraft, and hands-on engineering. Summer Camp Instructors work closely with other instructors to ensure all camp lessons and activities remain engaging, educational, and fun. Instructors are expected to take on additional responsibilities as requested by the Camp Director(s). Curriculum and training will be provided. About us Kids STEM Studio is a space where kids explore science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through fun and highly educational hands-on activities. This is a rewarding opportunity to help kids cultivate a love for STEM subjects by teaching and nurturing creativity, coding skills, problem-solving, and teamwork. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Work closely with other instructors to ensure all programming remains engaging, educational, and fun. Facilitate lessons in coding, app development, robotics, Minecraft, and hands-on engineering projects. Follow lesson plans, paying close attention to each day's key concepts and content, including specific coding techniques and engineering principles. Adapt instructional styles and approaches to meet individual student needs. Keep students on task and engaged throughout all camp lessons and activities. Provide students with a fun and engaging experience, fostering creativity and critical thinking. Ensure all students remain safe throughout all camp lessons and activities. Manage time effectively throughout each day's lessons and activities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Education, Engineering, Arts, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience or strong interest in STEM Must be good at working with kids and have strong collaboration and problem-solving skills. Outgoing personality with a passion for teaching and inspiring creativity. Experience working with children is preferred. Receptive to feedback and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Job Types:
Part-time, Contract, Temporary Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
