Beginning and ending classes on time; being available to answer participant and/or parent questions as needed. Responsible for conveying information on martial arts programs and schedules and as appropriate, referring students and parents to other programs.
Responsible for building effective, authentic relationships with students, parents, volunteers and staff. Gathering feedback from members and sharing with supervisor to improve service.
Responsible for organization and clean-up of class equipment. Reporting any facility or equipment irregularities, unsafe conditions or feedback to supervisor verbally and in writing.
Responsible for the safety and well-being of participants while participating in programs. Following and enforcing all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Being knowledgeable and prepared to implement emergency procedures. Reporting all incidents/accidents on the appropriate form as required and provide to supervisor within 24 hours of event.
Attending all required training sessions and scheduled meetings.
Maintaining prompt hours and follow established procedures for absences.
Supporting Strong Community Campaign fundraising efforts.
All other duties as assigned.

GENERAL FUNCTION
Under the direction of the Program Director/Senior Program Director, the Martial Arts Master Instructor will provide martial arts instruction using YMCA guidelines to all individuals enrolled in the appropriate classes and to promote the general safety of all participants.MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience Requirements:
Minimum age of 21 3 to 7 years' experience Black belt levelPhysical/Mental Requirements:
Must be able to frequently perform the following physical activities at a certification-level required for climbing wall instructors; climb, bend, stoop, kneel, twist, reach with hands, sit, stand for extended periods of time, walk, lift and carry up to 35 pounds, communicate verbally and have adequate hearingMust be able to visually see and instruct class participants and have the ability to demonstrate respective field skillsMust possess ability to remain alert and maintain concentration for long periods of time to ensure safety of participantsMust possess ability to make independent and sound decisions in a rapidly changing environmentMust be able to show initiative in the absence of supervisionMust be able to relate to and work with diverse groups of people in a friendly and consistent manner Must be able to handle questions/concerns and resolve conflicts in a courteous and professional mannerMust maintain a neat and professional appearanceJob Requirements:
