Filmmaking Summer Camp Instructor - One Week, Aug. 17-21 Athena Coding is hiring an energetic and dependable instructor to lead a one-week Hollywood Filmmaking summer camp in Hingham, Massachusetts. This is a temporary, one-week position that is ideal for someone with experience in filmmaking, video production, media arts, education, summer camps, or working with children.

Hollywood Filmmaking The instructor must be available for all five days of camp. About the Camp Students will learn the basics of filmmaking while working together to develop ideas, plan scenes, act, record footage, and create their own short film projects. Curriculum and program materials will be provided. Responsibilities Lead engaging filmmaking lessons using the provided curriculum Guide students through story development, acting, filming, and other hands-on activities Manage the classroom in a safe, positive, and organized manner Keep students engaged and on task throughout the three-hour camp Help students collaborate and complete their filmmaking projects Communicate professionally with Athena Coding and Hingham Community Center staff Arrive on time and remain dependable for all five scheduled days Qualifications Experience working with elementary- or middle-school-age children Experience in teaching, summer camps, tutoring, coaching, childcare, or youth programs Confidence leading and managing a group of students Strong communication, organization, and reliability Filmmaking, video production, acting, media arts, photography, or related experience preferred Formal teaching credentials are not required. Lesson plans and materials will be provided. Position Type Temporary, part-time, one-week summer camp position Expected Hours Approximately 15 instructional hours during the week of August 17-21, plus any specifically authorized preparation or setup time.
