Immediate About Sigma Martial Arts & Fitness Sigma Martial Arts & Fitness is a modern martial arts studio built around one clear mission: we transform lives through the martial arts. We use martial arts as a structured system for personal growth. Our members train to build confidence, discipline, fitness, resilience, focus, and a stronger sense of what they are capable of. We are not an ego-driven school built around one instructor, one style, or one trophy case. We are built around and for our members and helping them achieve their highest level of excellence. We are looking for a full-time martial arts instructor who can help lead and grow our adult martial arts program while also supporting our children's after school program. Position Overview The primary role of the Full-Time Martial Arts Instructor is to teach, support, and grow Sigma's adult martial arts program. This includes delivering high-quality martial arts instruction, building relationships with current and prospective members, helping new members feel comfortable and supported, and guiding members toward their individual goals. This role also includes support for Sigma's children's after school program. In that setting, the instructor will teach or assist in daily martial arts classes for children ages 5-12 and help students build confidence, focus, listening, discipline, and follow-through. The right person for this role is a coach, mentor, communicator, and culture-builder. This person cares about their colleagues and their members just as much as the technique being taught. Schedule This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position.

The schedule includes:

weekday afternoons/evenings and potentially Saturday mornings. Primary Responsibilities Teach adult martial arts classes with energy, clarity, structure, and professionalism. Help grow the adult martial arts program by supporting prospective members, new members, and current members through a positive and welcoming experience. Nurture potential members by helping them understand the program, feel comfortable starting, and take the next step when appropriate. Support new member enrollment, onboarding, and early retention. Help current members stay consistent, feel supported, and continue progressing toward their goals. Learn and follow Sigma's adult martial arts curriculum, class structure, safety standards, and coaching expectations. Know members by name, understand their goals, recognize where they struggle, and help them move forward. Provide beginner-friendly instruction while still maintaining strong technical standards. Create a class environment that is challenging, cooperative, respectful, and inclusive. Support studio events, member communications, attendance follow-up, and other program-growth activities as needed. Assist with the children's after school program as a secondary responsibility. Ideal Candidate & Qualifications We are looking for someone who can teach serious martial arts in a way that is accessible, structured, safe, and encouraging.
