Martial Arts & Jiu-Jitsu Instructor Fullah Academy Silver Spring, MD Job Details Part-time $40 an hour 11 hours ago Qualifications Behavior management CPR Certification First Aid Certification Martial arts coaching experience Training Student engagement classroom management Group fitness classes Full Job Description Fullah Academy is hiring a part-time Martial Arts & Jiu-Jitsu Instructor (Silver Spring, MD, in-person) to lead engaging, skill-building classes for students of all ages.
Schedule:
weekdays, 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
Pay:
$40.00 per hour.
Job Summary:
We're looking for someone with real teaching or coaching experience in both martial arts (karate, taekwondo, etc.) and jiu-jitsu who can teach fundamentals, build confidence, and keep students focused and motivated. Experience working with elementary, middle, or high school students is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
Plan and lead age-appropriate martial arts and jiu-jitsu classes. Teach fundamentals, discipline, sportsmanship, and self-defense technique. Adapt coaching style for different age groups and skill levels. Track student progress and communicate with parents/staff. Maintain a safe, structured training environment. Help set up and break down mats and equipment.
Requirements:
Experience teaching or training in both martial arts and jiu-jitsu. Comfort working with children and teens. Strong communication and classroom/mat management skills. Reliable part-time availability, weekdays 3-6 PM. CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain one. Background check required. Belt rank or formal certification is a plus but not required - real teaching/coaching experience matters most.
