Lead MMA Instructor / Location Leader$50,000 Base Salary + Up to 15% Performance-Based Profit Share Cosens Martial Arts is seeking a Lead MMA Instructor to take a leadership role in one of our martial arts academies. This position combines martial arts instruction, student development, team leadership, and location management. The Lead MMA Instructor is responsible for maintaining a high standard of instruction while helping oversee the overall success of the academy. This includes leading classes, onboarding new students, developing staff, supporting enrollment and retention, and helping manage the financial performance of the location. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced martial artist or instructor who is ready to take the next step into leadership and learn the operational side of running a successful martial arts academy. Responsibilities Martial Arts & Student Development Lead high-quality martial arts classes for children, teens, and adults Maintain a positive, structured, and energetic classroom environment Develop students through the Cosens Martial Arts curriculum Help new students successfully transition into regular training Build strong relationships with students and families Maintain high standards for safety, discipline, and professionalism Leadership & Team Development Lead by example both on and off the mat Train and develop instructors and support staff Help establish clear expectations and hold team members accountable Assist with staff scheduling and daily operations Participate in ongoing management and staff training Help create a positive, high-performing team environment Location Management Help oversee the day-to-day operation of the academy Support enrollment and sales efforts Monitor student retention and proactively address issues Help track and improve key performance indicators Monitor labor, supplies, and other operating expenses Help maintain appropriate cost controls and profitability Identify operational problems and take action to resolve them Maintain the appearance, organization, and professional standards of the academy Compensation & Opportunity $50,000 annual base salary Up to 15% performance-based profit share Paid Time Off Ongoing martial arts training Leadership and management development Training in sales, business operations, and classroom management Opportunities for advancement within Cosens Martial Arts The profit-share component is designed to give the Lead MMA Instructor a direct financial interest in the success of the academy they help lead.
