Owl Club is our nature-based afterschool program, designed to offer children a peaceful, enriching end to their school day in the great outdoors. Running from 3:00-5:00 PM, Owl Club provides time for free play, nature exploration, crafts, quiet activities, and group games—nurturing creativity, curiosity, and connection with the natural world. This is not a high-structure or academic program—Owl Club is all about relaxed outdoor time, friendship-building, and gentle rhythm after a full school day.Role & Responsibilities:
Supervise and engage a mixed-age group of children, ages 2.5 to 8 years old, in outdoor play and nature-based activities. Offer and facilitate simple enrichment activities (crafts, games, nature journaling, sensory play, etc.). Ensure children's safety and wellbeing in a natural setting. Support positive social interactions and problem-solving among children. Communicate clearly with fellow staff, children, and with parents or caregivers. Assist with light setup and cleanup of materials or play areas.Who You Are:
Warm, patient, and grounded, with a love for working with children outdoors. Experienced in childcare, education, camp counseling, or nature programs (or eager to learn). Comfortable being outside in all types of weather. Flexible and able to adapt to the needs of the group. CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain before start date). Age 18+ and able to pass a background check, fingerprinting check, and TB test. Bonus ifYou Have:
Experience with nature-based, Emilia Reggio approach, or Waldorf-inspired education A creative spirit or skill you can share—like storytelling, crafting, or whittling Knowledge of local flora/fauna or a passion for outdoor survival skillsTo Apply:
