This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to foster curiosity, promote outdoor learning, and develop essential skills in children and youth. You will lead hands-on experiments, facilitate outdoor exploration, and create a safe, inclusive space for children to discover the wonders of nature while integrating STEM concepts. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help cultivate a lifelong love for learning and environmental stewardship. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging STEM activities that incorporate outdoor exploration and environmental education Supervise children during outdoor activities, ensuring safety and positive behavior management Implement classroom management strategies to foster an inclusive, respectful learning environment Maintain safety protocols including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response procedures Facilitate youth group activities that promote teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills Collaborate with team members to develop age-appropriate curricula aligned with childhood development principles Ensure all activities adhere to safety standards and program guidelines while encouraging curiosity and creativity Experience Prior experience working with children in educational or camp settings, preferably with outdoor work experience Demonstrated classroom management skills and behavior management strategies Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with first aid protocols Experience in youth development programs or teaching young children in STEM or related fields Background in special education or working with children with diverse learning needs is a plus Proven ability to lead youth group activities and facilitate engaging lessons in outdoor environments Strong understanding of childhood development principles and effective teaching techniques for young learners This role is perfect for energetic individuals passionate about inspiring children through outdoor STEM education.
