Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Children's Ski & Ride School Helper plays a key support role in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for children ages 4 - 12 years old. This position is responsible for assisting with the check-in process, helping children get fitted for ski or snowboard gear, booting them up, and organizing participant groups for their lessons. Throughout the day, the Helper provides on-snow and off-snow support to instructors and students, helping to maintain safety, comfort, and fun for all participants. This role requires a friendly, patient, and proactive attitude, with a strong focus on customer service and childcare. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
Key Responsibilities Assist children with boots, gear, and lesson preparation Support check-in, class organization, and transitions Help instructors during lessons (on and off snow) Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment Provide friendly, helpful guest service Familiarity with skiing and/or snowboarding is a plus
Qualifications Required:
Age 16+ Strong communication and customer service skills Comfortable working with children Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment Availability (Required) Must work holiday periods: Nov 26-30 | Dec 19-Jan 4 | Jan 16-18 | Feb 13-15 2+ days/week + holidays Must be able to work 20+ shifts minimum throughout season

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Must maintain a current SafeSport certification or complete SafeSport training by the assigned deadline (paid for by the employer) Understand and follow policies and procedures Prepare children for lessons by helping put on their boots, gear, bibs, etc. Assist in class registration as needed. Observe all applicable safety standards. Assist in general operation of all Ski & Ride School activity. Coordinate and cooperate with other departments as necessary in the completion of the above essential duties. Provide information and answer questions about the resort to guests. Set up and take down of lesson areas Operation of conveyor belts (18 yrs+) Complete all required paperwork: class cards, time sheets, incident reports etc. Attend assigned trainings Performs other related tasks as necessary Other duties assigned Skills Required Customer Service English Communication Skills Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
