This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant environment dedicated to outdoor recreation, physical activity, and personal growth. As a key member of our team, you will deliver engaging riding lessons, ensure rider safety, and create memorable experiences that encourage teamwork, discipline, and respect for horses. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help riders develop their skills while enjoying the thrill of horseback riding. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive riding lessons tailored to individual skill levels, from beginner to advanced Ensure the safety of all riders by enforcing proper riding techniques and safety protocols Maintain the well-being of horses through regular grooming, feeding, and care routines Monitor riding areas for hazards and uphold cleanliness standards to promote a safe environment Communicate effectively with clients about lesson plans, progress, and safety instructions Manage behavior and provide guidance to young or inexperienced riders to foster confidence and discipline Assist with barn management tasks including scheduling, equipment maintenance, and record keeping Skills Proven experience in horseback riding instruction or equestrian coaching Strong communication skills to effectively teach children and adults of diverse backgrounds Knowledge of horse care, grooming, feeding, and health management practices Ability to demonstrate proper riding techniques across various disciplines (e.g., English or Western riding) Experience working with children and managing group activities in a recreational setting Familiarity with safety procedures including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response protocols Background in sports coaching or physical education enhances ability to motivate and instruct riders Excellent team leadership skills to collaborate with staff and support a positive environment Join us in creating an inspiring space where riders develop skills that last a lifetime!
