Part-Time Playgroup Assistant -
Small Circle of Friends Location:
Esopus, NY Schedule:
Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, 8:30 AM-12:30
PMHours:
12 hours/week
Pay:
Starting at $20/hour, based on experience Small Circle of Friends is a small, nature-inspired toddler playgroup in Esopus, NY. We are looking for a warm, reliable, and playful person to join us as a part-time assistant. Our mornings are centered around simple rhythms, lots of free play, time outdoors, and creating a calm and nurturing environment for young children. We keep our group intentionally small so that children can receive plenty of individual attention and care.
Responsibilities include:
Engaging with toddlers through play and daily activities Helping set up and clean up activities and snack Supporting diapering and toileting as needed Supervising children during indoor and outdoor play Helping maintain a warm, safe, and peaceful environment Working collaboratively to support the flow of our morning We're looking for someone who: Has experience caring for or working with toddlers Is warm, patient, dependable, and comfortable getting down on the floor and playing Enjoys spending time outdoors in all seasons Is comfortable with diapering and other hands-on caregiving Can safely lift up to 40 lbs Is CPR/First Aid certified or willing to become certified Can reliably commit to the Tuesday/Thursday/Friday schedule Experience in early childhood education, nannying, preschool, Waldorf/Montessori-inspired programs, or other child-centered settings is a plus, but we are most interested in finding someone who genuinely enjoys being with young children and is a good fit for our small-group environment.
