Step One is a private, family-run NYS OASAS and OMH Certified Outpatient Substance Use Treatment Center since 1994 seeking for talented individuals to join our amazing staff to provide care in our Kingston Location. Join our team at Step One, a reputable outpatient healthcare facility, as an Intake Specialist. We pride ourselves on providing a warm, friendly, and respectful professional environment where your skills can shine.
Job Summary:
- As an Intake Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our team by managing intake procedures for our patients. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Welcoming our patients
- Conducting intake interviews through means of psych-social assessment, initial assessments, and evidence based tools provided through our electronic medical record
- Gathering and verifying patient information, medical history, insurance info etc.
- Collaborate with Front Staff on scheduling intake appointments
- Scheduling appointments
- Address patient inquiries and concerns
- Ensuring accurate data entry into our systems
- Verify patient data and insurance details
- Collaborate with the clinical team to facilitate smooth patient transitions
- Manage a small caseload when needs of clinic require this assistance
- Assist with tracking referral sources and other data collection sources
- Other responsibilities as needed
Requirements:
- MHC-LP, MSW-LP, LMSW, LMHC, or LCSW
- Attention to detail
- Organizational abilities
- Advanced clinical experience in a substance abuse setting
- Case Management skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word
