Job Overview:
The Ninja Hive is looking for a positive, energetic, and dependable Lead Coach who loves working with kids and wants to help create an amazing experience for every family that walks through our doors. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys coaching, leading by example, and helping kids build confidence through movement and fitness. The Lead Coach will be responsible for coaching classes, supporting gym operations, assisting with events, and helping maintain a fun, safe, and organized environment. At The Ninja Hive, we help kids develop strength, confidence, coordination, athleticism, resilience, and problem-solving skills through American Ninja Warrior-style obstacle training, climbing, swinging, jumping, balance, and fitness-based games.
Responsibilities Coaching & Athlete Development:
Lead ninja classes for children ages 5-13 AND teens-Adults Coach obstacles using safe and age-appropriate progressions Create a positive, high-energy class environment Encourage athletes while helping them improve skills and confidence Maintain class structure and keep athletes engaged throughout class Build positive relationships with athletes and families
Leadership & Operations:
Serve as the lead coach during assigned shifts Assist with training and supporting assistant coaches Help maintain coaching standards and class quality Communicate professionally with parents regarding athlete progress and questions Ensure equipment is properly set up and stored Monitor safety throughout all classes and activities Help keep the facility clean, organized, and welcoming
Events & Programs:
Assist with birthday parties, camps, competitions, open gyms, and special events Help create memorable experiences for kids and families Support member retention by providing outstanding customer service
Qualifications:
We're looking for someone who is reliable, enthusiastic, and passionate about helping kids succeed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with children in sports, fitness, camps, recreation, education, or youth programs Experience coaching gymnastics, ninja, parkour, climbing, martial arts, cheer, youth sports, or fitness programs Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to manage groups of children while maintaining a fun environment Comfortable being active and on your feet for several hours CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (not required)
