Job Description

Primarily responsible for providing coaching instruction at a Summer Music Institute camp, and is a representative of the philosophies and goals of the Summer Music Institute and the College of Musical Arts.
Career Readiness Competencies :
Career & Self-Development Communication Critical Thinking Attend training meeting prior to check in the first day of camp. Coach and instruct ensembles as assigned. Supervise campers during activities, special events, overnights, free-time and during meals. Execute all emergency procedures with the safety of campers as the first concern. Plan and participate in all camp activities with a positive attitude. Have a working knowledge of all program areas in camp. Assist the DPE, PD, Program Directors, Support Staff, and peers as needed. Must be an undergraduate College of Musical Arts student. Must be an experienced musician, specializing in the camp's instrument family. Must possess good judgement, excellent communication skills and be enthusiastic.
Note:
Housing and meals will be provided to a Counselor/Coach Must be available June 14-July 3 for camp events
