Firearms Department Associate

Overview We are seeking a knowledgeable and safety-focused Firearms Department Associate to support firearm sales, compliance, and customer service. This role requires strict adherence to all federal, state, and local firearms regulations while providing a professional customer experience. Responsibilities Assist customers with firearms, ammunition, and accessories Ensure full compliance with ATF, federal, state, and local laws Accurately complete required firearms paperwork and records Maintain safe firearm handling and secure storage at all times Educate customers on firearm safety, legal requirements, and basic maintenance Maintain inventory, displays, and department organization Follow all safety, security, and loss-prevention procedures Requirements Must be legally eligible to sell and handle firearms Strong knowledge of firearms and firearm safety( preferred but not required) High attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to remain professional and safety-focused Preferred Firearms retail, range, or industry experience ATF compliance and record-keeping experience Firearms safety or instructor certifications Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to [50] lbs Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Training opportunities
