Job Description
Overview Overbrook Golf Club is seeking dependable, energetic, and service-minded individuals to join our Outside Services Staff. This position plays an important role in providing an exceptional golf experience for members and guests while supporting the daily operation of the golf facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, being part of a team, and providing outstanding customer service. An interest in developing a career within the golf industry is strongly encouraged. Experience Required Previous experience in golf operations, hospitality, customer service, or a private club environment is preferred but not required Knowledge of the game of golf and golf etiquette is a plus Experience working in a team-oriented, service-focused environment is beneficial Ability to communicate professionally with members, guests, and fellow staff Willingness to learn golf operations procedures and Club service standards An interest in developing a career within the golf industry is strongly encouraged Essential Responsibilities Greet members and guests promptly and provide a friendly, professional level of service Assist members and guests with loading and unloading golf bags Clean golf clubs and properly store member bags Prepare, stage, clean, and maintain golf carts for daily play Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bag room, bag drop, cart barn, and surrounding areas Monitor the tee sheet and prepare golf bags and carts as needed Maintain practice facilities, including picking and cleaning range balls and keeping ball stations stocked Monitor and maintain water stations and other assigned service areas Assist with tournament, outing, and special-event setup and breakdown Complete assigned opening and closing duties to ensure the operation is prepared for the next shift Communicate effectively with Golf Professional Staff, fellow employees, members, and guests Assist other Outside Services team members as needed to maintain efficient daily operations Follow all Club policies, safety procedures, and service standards Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance while on duty Perform other golf operations duties as assigned Benefits Limited opportunities to play the golf course based on Club availability and staff policies Gratuities in addition to hourly compensation Opportunities to caddie for additional earning potential Golf industry experience in a private club environment Opportunity to develop customer service and golf operations skills
