Job Summary Serve El Paso is seeking an energetic, knowledgeable, and personable Pickleball Pro to lead instruction, support pickleball programming, and help manage daily court operations. This position is ideal for an experienced coach or competitive player who enjoys helping others improve their skills while building an active and inclusive pickleball community. The Pickleball Pro will conduct private and group lessons, organize tournaments and special events, assist with staff scheduling, promote memberships and programs, and ensure the courts and equipment remain safe and ready for play. Key Responsibilities Lead private lessons, group clinics, training sessions, and camps for players of all ages and skill levels. Teach proper technique, grips, rules, positioning, strategy, and sportsmanship. Organize and oversee tournaments, mixers, open-play sessions, and other pickleball events. Create a welcoming and encouraging environment for beginners, recreational players, and competitive athletes. Assist guests with program registration, court information, memberships, and available pickleball services. Support membership growth by promoting lessons, leagues, clinics, events, and other programs. Help manage pickleball staff and coordinate employee, lesson, clinic, and court schedules. Ensure courts, nets, equipment, and surrounding areas are clean, safe, organized, and ready for play. Communicate clearly with guests and team members while addressing questions or concerns professionally. Assist with community outreach and the promotion of pickleball programs and events. Support additional recreational and facility operations as needed. Required Skills Strong knowledge of pickleball rules, techniques, grips, strategies, and player development. Friendly, patient, and guest-focused approach to coaching. Strong communication, organization, and scheduling skills. Ability to motivate and engage players of different ages, personalities, and skill levels. Ability to manage groups and maintain a fun, safe, and respectful playing environment. Dependable, professional, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team. Ability to remain active and move around the courts for extended periods. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous pickleball coaching, instruction, or competitive playing experience. Experience coaching tennis, badminton, or another racquet sport may be considered. Experience working with children and players of different age groups is preferred. Professional pickleball teaching certification, such as PPR or an equivalent credential, is preferred. First Aid, CPR, or AED certification is preferred. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and special events as needed. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move around the courts for extended periods. Ability to demonstrate pickleball techniques and actively participate in lessons and clinics. Ability to set up, move, and organize pickleball equipment as needed.
