Overview Discover Gymnastics is seeking positive, energetic, and outgoing Birthday Party Program (BDP) Staff/Coaches to help create fun, safe, and memorable birthday experiences for children and families. BDP Staff/Coaches actively engage with children, lead games and gymnastics activities, assist party families and guests, and help keep each event organized and running smoothly from setup through cleanup.

Previous experience in childcare, camps, recreation, gymnastics, coaching, birthday parties, hospitality, or customer service is a plus, but we're also excited to meet candidates who are dependable, enthusiastic, great with kids, and comfortable creating a fun experience for groups. What You'll Do As a BDP Staff/Coach, you will: Help create a fun, energetic, welcoming, and memorable birthday party experience for children and families. Lead and assist with age-appropriate games, gymnastics activities, obstacle courses, open-gym activities, and party programming. Actively supervise children and maintain a safe, organized environment. Provide age-appropriate instruction and assistance when children are using gymnastics equipment. Keep children engaged and use positive, age-appropriate behavior redirection when needed. Welcome party families and guests and provide friendly, attentive customer service throughout the event. Follow established party schedules, activity plans, safety procedures, and BDP standards. Assist with party setup, including tables, decorations, supplies, equipment, food areas, and activity spaces. Assist with cleanup and resetting party and gym areas before, during, and after events. Maintain clean, organized, and properly prepared party spaces. Communicate Discover Gymnastics programs, events, and services to families when appropriate. Work collaboratively with the BDP Manager and fellow staff to keep parties organized, on schedule, and fun. Attend required meetings, training, and safety certifications. Follow all Discover Gymnastics policies, SafeSport requirements, child-safety standards, and safety procedures. Qualifications We're looking for someone who is: Energetic, enthusiastic, positive, and engaging with children. Friendly and comfortable interacting with children, parents, and guests. Confident leading groups of children in games and physical activities. Dependable and committed to regular attendance and punctuality. Able to maintain energy and enthusiasm throughout scheduled parties. Organized and able to multitask in a busy, fast-paced environment. Comfortable working independently while also being a strong team player. Professional and able to maintain appropriate boundaries when working with children. Willing to learn and complete all required Company training. Preferred, but not required: High school diploma or GED. Previous experience working with children. Experience in gymnastics, coaching, recreation, camps, childcare, birthday parties, hospitality, or customer service.

Required after hire:

Ability to successfully complete required background screenings. CPR, First Aid, and SafeSport certifications within designated onboarding timelines, as applicable. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys creating fun experiences and making people feel welcome. The right candidate will be dependable, energetic, attentive, and comfortable taking initiative. You should be able to engage a group of excited kids while also making sure parents and guests feel supported and the party stays organized. Because birthday parties may be a family's first experience with Discover Gymnastics, BDP Staff/Coaches play an important role in creating a positive first impression and an experience families want to come back to. Schedule This is a part-time position with hours based on birthday party bookings and program needs. Availability may include weekends, evenings, holidays, special events, and other high-demand periods. Scheduled hours may vary based on party bookings and staffing needs. Employees may also be scheduled before or after parties to assist with setup and cleanup. Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on position. BDP Staff/Coaches must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and remain physically active throughout scheduled parties. The position may require demonstrating or assisting with age-appropriate gymnastics activities and lifting, carrying, setting up, or moving equipment and party supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
