Job Summary Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Head Coach & Academy Manager Full-Time | Coaching + Management + Profit Sharing + Path to Ownership We are seeking an experienced and motivated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Coach and Academy Manager to take an active leadership role in operating a full-time martial arts academy. This is not simply a position teaching classes. We are looking for someone who wants to build a career, grow an academy, participate in its success, and have the opportunity to work toward future ownership. Position Responsibilities The Head Coach/Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day success of the academy, including: Teaching high-quality Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes for children and adults Leading beginner, advanced, competition and family programs Creating a positive, professional and motivating academy environment Developing students technically and helping them progress through the curriculum Building strong relationships with students and families Following up with prospective students and helping convert trials into memberships Improving student attendance and retention Helping grow overall academy enrollment Managing instructors and support staff Maintaining cleanliness, organization and professional academy standards Assisting with events, promotions, seminars and competition-team activities Taking responsibility for the overall performance and growth of the academy What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who sees coaching as a profession and long-term career , not simply an opportunity to teach a few classes. The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, energetic, good with both children and adults, comfortable communicating with parents and prospective members, and capable of becoming a leader within the academy. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu experience and strong teaching ability are important, but so are leadership, communication, accountability and the desire to grow a successful business. Management and sales experience are beneficial but can be developed in the right candidate. Compensation & Growth Opportunity This position is designed differently from a traditional coaching job.
