Job Description

Job Overview Complete Chess is hiring part-time after-school chess instructors to teach on Thursdays and Fridays at elementary schools in NEISD and Comal ISD in the north part of San Antonio (Stone Oak, Far North). No teaching experience necessary - we provide full training, lesson plans, and equipment. You bring the energy, willingness to learn and basic chess knowledge. What you'll do: Teach a 1-hour chess class once a week at an assigned elementary school Arrive 30 minutes early to gather students and stay 30 minutes after class for dismissal (about 2 hours total per visit) Classes run Monday-Friday, starting around 2:30-3:00 PM, depending on the school Programs run in semesters of 10-12 weeks
Pay & Perks:
$25/hour — $50 every time you teach a session (you can cover 1 school a day) Full training provided (chess experience helpful) Lesson plans and chess equipment provided Supportive team environment
Requirements:
Knowledge of chess Passion for working with children Ability to adapt coaching techniques to different learning styles Strong communication skills with participants of all ages Help kids build confidence, focus, and a love for the game - one square at a time. Pay:
$25.00 per hour
