After School Adventure Club lead Join our vibrant team as an Outdoor Nature Educator and ignite a passion for the natural world in children and youth! This dynamic role offers the opportunity to lead engaging outdoor activities, foster environmental stewardship, and inspire young minds through hands-on learning experiences. As an Outdoor Nature Educator, you will create a safe, inclusive, and fun environment where children can explore nature, develop new skills, and build lasting connections with the outdoors. This paid position is perfect for energetic individuals who love working with children and are passionate about outdoor education and youth development. Duties Lead outdoor educational activities that promote environmental awareness, conservation, and outdoor skills development. Facilitate youth group activities, nature walks, and team-building exercises in various outdoor settings. Ensure the safety of all participants by supervising children closely and implementing proper child supervision practices. Apply first aid and CPR protocols promptly in case of emergencies, maintaining a safe environment for all participants. Manage behavior effectively using positive behavior management techniques to foster respect and cooperation among children. Collaborate with team members to plan age-appropriate curricula that incorporate outdoor exploration, science, arts, and physical activites. Qualifications Experience working with children in educational or recreational settings, including camp experience or daycare roles. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, AED operation, and First Aid protocols are required; additional certifications like lifeguarding or outdoor leadership are a plus. Strong classroom management skills combined with the ability to adapt activities for diverse age groups and special needs populations. Background in youth program teaching, sports coaching, theater, babysitting, or Christian counseling is highly desirable. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining enthusiasm and professionalism. Excellent communication skills with a passion for inspiring young learners through outdoor education and environmental stewardship.
