About Us At The Playroom Cafe, we believe in creating a welcoming space where children can learn, move, and grow—while parents relax and connect. Our Kid Fit program is designed to promote physical activity, confidence, coordination, and healthy habits through engaging, age-appropriate fitness classes. Position Overview We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic, and reliable Kid Fit Instructor to lead fun, structured fitness classes for children (ages 3-8). The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children, understands early childhood development, and can create a positive, high-energy environment that keeps kids excited about movement. Responsibilities Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate fitness classes Incorporate music, games, obstacle courses, and basic movement skills Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment Manage class flow, transitions, and behavior in a positive manner Communicate professionally with parents and caregivers Ensure equipment and play areas are clean and safely maintained Arrive prepared and on time for all scheduled classes Qualifications Experience working with children (teaching, coaching, childcare, or related field) Background in fitness, dance, physical education, early childhood education, or related field preferred CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) High energy, creativity, and strong classroom management skills Reliable, punctual, and professional Must pass a background check Preferred Skills Group fitness instruction experience Knowledge of child development principles Ability to lead music-based movement activities Experience creating themed or curriculum-based classes Compensation Competitive hourly rate (based on experience) Fun, supportive team environment Join us in making a difference by inspiring young minds and bodies!
