Summer Camp Teacher

Overview:

Masterthinkers is seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as Camp Teachers. Our Summer Camps run from 7:30am-3pm each weekday, and our camp teachers will work with 10 students at a time. Lesson subjects can be negotiated, but this teacher is currently scheduled to teach reading, art, and theme. During Summer Camps, we will use the theme of that week such as pirates, dinosaurs, etc. We get to teach these as various characters. the idea is to give students

a fun and relaxed summer academic experience!

• Supervise and engage students in various activities, including outdoor activity, arts and crafts, theater, and games
• Lead age-appropriate activities and lessons the center will provide
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times
• Provide guidance and support to students in their personal growth and development
• Assist with meal times, including serving food and monitoring students' dietary needs
• Collaborate with other camp staff to create a positive and inclusive camp environment
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding camper progress and any concerns

Requirements:

• Experience working with children, such as sports coaching, babysitting, tutoring, or childcare
• First aid certification or willingness to obtain certification prior to start date
• Knowledge of child development principles and ability to apply them in a camp setting
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Passion for working with children and helping them learn and grow
• Experience in theater or performing arts is a plus Please note that all positions at Masterthinkers are well supported.
