Social Work Augustana University invites applications for a MSW Program faculty at an Assistant Professor level, beginning Fall 2027 to assistin the development of our new MSW students.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching future social workers in the MSW program actively participating in curriculumdesign and development and review for the new MSW program work with the MSW Program leadership in fulfilling the program's missionand goals enhance graduate student experience by serving as academic and career advisor during their time at Augustana Universityand entry into professional practice. maintain compliance with CSWE standards for explicit/implicit curriculum, field placement, andassessment Augustana prides itself on excellent in-person classroom instruction, thus the successful applicant willdemonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring students in a liberal arts environment.

RequiredQualifications:

an MSW from a CSWE accredited school required a doctorate in social work or a closely relatedfield required at least two years of post-MSW professional experience high degree of interest, ability and/or experiencepromoting cultural competency & diversity

Preferred Qualifications:

doctorate degree in SocialWork or related discipline successful teaching experience in social work education Interacting with students, faculty,and administration with different backgrounds and points of view and a deep appreciation of and respect for academic values and sharedgovernance must be top values of the candidate.
