Exempt Job Summary The Social Work Program seeks candidates qualified to teach courses at any level of instruction in the department curriculum. This is a part time, pooled position filled on an as-needed basis. Essential Job Functions Teach courses at assigned times using current pedagogical methods, keeping accurate records of students' grades. Maintain effective and timely communication with students, chair of department, and composition director.
Minimum and Desired Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants should have an earned graduate degree in Social Work and have two years post MSW experience.
Supplemental Information Key Competencies:
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to implement effective and innovative teaching strategies.
Physical Requirements:
The essential functions of this position are primarily intellectual and relational. The role requires the ability to: Communicate effectively in classroom, online, and meeting settings. Engage with students, colleagues, and community partners in a respectful and professional manner. Utilize technology for teaching, scholarship, and administrative tasks.
