No Work Schedule Adjunct faculty positions are appointed on a course-by-course, semester basis. as needed. Responsibilities include teaching developmental and/or college-level courses, which may include distance-learning courses during the day and evening, on weekdays and weekends. Primarily face-to-face with the possibility of remote instruction. COMMUNICATION STUDIES.

We are currently seeking instructors for in person instruction of Principles of Public Speaking in The Higher Education in Prison Program. Through this program, PVCC offers opportunities for incarcerated learners to transform their lives by earning a transfer associate degree. This program is available to incarcerated students at Fluvanna Correctional Center for Women, Buckingham Correctional Center, and Dillwyn Correctional Center. Please note in your cover letter and/or application that you are specifically interested in teaching a course at one of the prison sites. KSA's/Required Qualifications The successful candidate will possess expert skills, knowledge, experience and education in the subject area and a history of successful teaching or related experience. Master's degree in Communication Studies or master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Communication Studies. Additional Considerations Two years teaching experience, work experience in the field, and experience with on-line teaching.
