Please note:
applicants must reside in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland or DC. Humanities and Social Science includes but is not limited to: Arts, Education, English, Economics, History, Psychology, Philosophy, Spanish, Speech/Drama and Sociology. Adjunct faculty teach a variety of day, evening and weekend classes. Responsibilities include teaching college level courses, which may include distance learning on and off campus courses during the day, evening and weekends. Applicants should possess a Master's degree, have eighteen graduate semester hours in the discipline/prefix specific to the class, and a history of successful teaching or related experience. Certain developmental or technical courses may be taught by instructors with a Bachelor's degree, a special certification, and/or work experience. The credit hour pay range is $794.00- 1,375.
