Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current certification in Special Education (or eligibility in Alaska) Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or a related field Experience working with middle school students preferred Knowledge of creating and implementing IEPs to meet diverse learner needs Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt instructional strategies for various learning levels Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver individual and small group instruction tailored to students with varying needs Create, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and related service providers Track student progress and modify interventions as needed to encourage growth and achievement Assist in organizing student accommodations and classroom modifications Engage with families and caregivers to support student success and well-being Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state requirements This contract position provides the chance to make a significant impact on students' lives while working in a supportive school community.
