Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into an impactful opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Resource Teacher for the upcoming school year. This contract position is located at a middle school serving 7th and 8th graders, where you will collaborate within a dedicated educational team to provide essential support for students with diverse learning needs.
Key Qualifications:
Current teacher certification with Special Education endorsement Proven experience in a middle school or upper elementary setting preferred Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Excellent collaboration and communication skills with staff, students, and families Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual learning styles Organizational skills for managing multiple responsibilities and tracking student progress
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for assigned students Deliver direct instruction and support tailored to each student's unique abilities and goals Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curriculum and support student inclusion Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding student growth and needs Foster a supportive, positive classroom environment that encourages academic, social, and emotional growth Maintain up-to-date records and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
